NAŠI ŠTVRTÁCI NA ERAZME
V marci sa naši žiaci Matúš Holán, Zina Tupá, Nina Galasová a Radka Radošinská zúčastnili študijného pobytu v Českej republike pod hlavičkou Erazmu+. Celý, takmer dvojtýždňový kemp sa niesol v duchu prevencie duševného zdravia a budovania vzájomných vzťahov. Žiaci sa stretli so študentami z ďalších krajín Európy: Česko, Rumunsko, Macedónsko a Turecko, takže boli nútení komunikovať výhradne v anglickom jazyku. Kemp mal názov Healthy Habits for a Healthy Life (YE).
The day started with an introduction to the Erasmus project, where we got to know each other and the goals of the project. The atmosphere was welcoming, and we were eager to start collaborating with the everyone. The day was dedicated to getting to know each other through team activities, name games and energizers. After the coffee break, we got a new challenge: we were divided into smaller groups to tackle a problem that required teamwork and creative thinking. We were given an egg and told to find a way to keep it from breaking. This activity pushed us to step out of our comfort zones and work together to come up with solutions.
In the afternoon, we participated in an activity in which we were split into teams again and had to work together and let our creativity shine. We wrapped up the day with the intercultural evening presented by our participants from Romania: this was a fun and educational experience where we learned about Romanian traditions, music, food, and culture. It was the perfect way to end the day.
Today we had a morning activity where we ran over each group’s mission impossible. After that, we had a coffee break, and then we had an energiser from the Macedonian team: rock paper scissors, the tournament. We then had an activity where we discussed about our perceptions on mental vs physical health. First, we all individually wrote our opinions about health and our motivations to have a healthy lifestyle. Then, we split into groups, and we all discussed our ideas with each other, and tried to find connections between all our ideas. Finally, we each got a flipchart per group, and we created a model of our idea of mental / physical health. Each group presented their ideas to everyone, and we further discussed about the topic. We then had another coffee break, and had our last activity, preceded by a Simon Says energiser from the Macedonian team.
We split among our national groups and had to discuss about three different points: good and bad aspects of our country regarding health, presenting different stats, and performances showcasing these aspects. Each group took turns to present it to everyone. At the end, we left room for reflection, thinking about our learnings and takeaways from the exercise and from the day. After breakfast, we enjoyed a fabulous bus ride to the Sudetenland region in the Czech Republic, near the Polish border. There, we went on a hiking trip, experiencing Czech nature, learning about the Sudetenland region, and seeing many bunkers. We also stopped to climb a sightseeing tower, which offered breathtaking views of the mountains and countryside. For lunch, we took a break near a bunker complex.
Afterward, we did some stretching and breathing exercises, gave each other massages, and chatted with our support buddies. Later, we visited Neratov, where we had free time. Some of us explored a church with a unique glass roof, while others tried the local beer. After our free time, we returned to the facilities. After the trip, many people took a nap before heading to dinner. To end the day, we gathered outside to start a bonfire, where we socialized and reflected on the day's experiences. We kicked off the day with a fun and engaging energizer. Then, we spent the morning exploring our needs and emotions through various activities. We shared personal experiences of situations that had hurt us and reflected on how they made us feel. To wrap up the morning, we did a calming breathing exercise.
After lunch, we headed outside for a team workshop. Each group had the chance to be creative, choosing a theme and leading a 15-minute activity based on it. We played volleyball and football, took a walk while chatting in pairs, and more. We ended the day with an intercultural night, where we learned more about the Czech Republic. We had a day trip to Pardubice by bus - we left in the morning and walked as a group to the city centre, where we were given instructions for a game to do around the city. The game allowed the groups who wanted to participate to explore the city in a more fun way, by completing the tasks, which included taking photos at different locations, researching more information about the city, and even speaking with locals.
We also had the opportunity to visit the city freely. At the end of the day, we returned to the venue and had a free evening. We kicked off the day with a fun and energetic dancing energizer that got everyone moving and smiling. In the morning session, we explored the concept of S.M.A.R.T goals and discussed how setting clear, achievable goals can support personal growth. We also learned about the important distinction between observations and interpretations, helping us to better understand ourselves and others. Through reflective activities, we tackled overthinking and challenged ourselves to be silly and carefree—without worrying about what others might think.
Later, we cheered each other on during a lively dance session, offering support and encouragement as our friends showed off their moves. To end the day, we enjoyed the Turkish intercultural night. We tasted their traditional foods and drinks and learned about the culture.
